Lea House

- Bed and Breakfast in Herefordshire-

16/07/15
Getting more confident in making fresh bread for the guests, at the moment we are just making white and wholemeal using organic flour from a lovely shop on the high street in Ross on Wye.  The raspberry bushes are producing well, so enough for guests to have for breakfast along with some lovely locally grown strawberries.

Sophie is staring to go further afield with the dogs, The Forest of Dean is such a tranquil place to be and the dogs love to run free.  There is also a lovely lake to walk around in the village of Newent,Gloucestershire, recently we have found "Ross Beach" as the locals call it, great for the dogs to have a paddle and cool down

Guests continue to be hugely complimentary of Lea House and the hospitality they receive.. We now have a comments book for guests to write in and the words written so far have been lovely. The counties of Herefordshire/Gloucestershire have so much to offer, whatever you may be looking for.

Every guest that has stayed so far has asked the history of Lea House.  Given that she is 400 years old, and a former coach house, she must have some stories to tell.  Will be money well spent to engage the services of somebody that can delve into the archives and find out more
